I agree with you Cofty. I read your article and it’s funny because I always did notice the use of terms such as ‘imperfection’ and ‘Adam lost perfection’ were frequently printed in publications but aren’t used in the bible- which uses the word ‘sin’.
I’m sure I have heard Christians using Romans 5:12 though when explaining the ransom ...

I think the ransom sacrifice doctrine is central to most Christian denominations- though people in general are quite unversed in scripture. I always found the idea of God needing a ransom arrangement very hard to believe indeed. The idea of a ransom appeasing God originates in the primitive minds of humans- the practice still exists today in very remote, very uneducated regions that haven’t benefited from human progress. So what’s more likely? That the highest intellectual mind really needed this bizarre arrangement so that he could forgive born sinners? Or that the idea was adopted and evolved from human concepts of the past?
The garden of Eden and the talking snake is defo true though.
i bought a book that was published by one brother in our area.
the title, if only, the brother didnt change his name he is, alex bogdanov, to support this brother i bought his book.
it is fiction about couples and i didnt think nothing of it, but after reading a few chapters one of the characters is an ex jw, i don’t think this character is disfellowshipped in the book, but she is definitely not active.
I know Alex Bogdanov. And I would guess you are him or sash? Your style of writing is similar ‘I didn’t think nothing...’
Regardless, ‘apostasy’ is JW loaded language. So although the book is normal Criticism that healthy organisations would not react to... in the JW world of strict information control it is apostasy and the author can expect a meeting with 3 Elduhs.

we weren't planning on going to the memorial, but last week my mother broke down and said that we have to go to the memorial even if it's the only meeting i go to this year.
They have an insatiable desire to have you back in their group. THIS is why they want you there-as you well know. They hope the event will stir you- bring you back to your senses perhaps, they will continue working on you thereafter. I have also hurt my mother, caused her terrible pain, her granddaughter and I will not be in paradise with her. My 2 cents worth is that the sooner your loved ones swallow this bitter pill the better.
it's goodbye to bristol - hengrove congregation of jw's and the inmates ... err ... members, will be sent to two other bristol congregations either side of it.. i'm told by two elders from bristol, england it is being disbanded on may 1st 2018. this is the 2nd congregation in this circuit to be disbanded recently - the 1st being portishead in late 2014.. hooray!.
Well this just shows how near to the end we are, Satan is clearly intensifying his efforts- causing many to tire out. Seriously, is it another smash and grab? Are borg HQ selling another hall after the cong worked hard to pay for it ?

I’ve heard of a few that killed themselves in nearby congs. There was one that I new personally, he was a kind and considerate young brother that always had a smile on his face but the truth was harsh on him. I also have 2 friends that attempted to end their own lives. Both have now overcome their depression and found happiness having left this destructive cult.

web statistics are not generally an exact science - the 'best' indication is normally the 'unique' visitor number - although one person may be using more than one device to access the website (ie using desktop and mobile), but also more than one person may being using the same device (ie a shared home desktop).. on a forum-style website, the number of 'page views' is a bit pointless as it will normally always be much, much higher than a non-forum-style website - but it can give a general idea on how engaged visitors are (how many topics/threads they are reading).

im seeing my solicitor tomorrow to see about getting an order in place making sure any contact my daughter has with my jw family goes through me and not my ex-wife.. explained the situation briefly to the lawyer, she was asking more and more about why should i be concerned if a jw had access to my child.. i mentioned the blood issue, the shunning, the inappropriate pictures of armageddon in books/mags etc.
do you think i should bring in watchtower literature to show them what i mean?
